LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay. LOROS deliver free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers.
Smarter Managed Buildings are proud to be able to support one of our business partners, Peter Schofield, who will be taking part in the LOROS Great Wall of China Trek 2024, hiking some 36km along the magnificent man-made structure. This will take you over watch towers, mountains and through historic battlement stations that are well off the tourist trail. Peter is aiming to provide over £3,000.00 of fundraising for the organistation.
Good luck Peter!
We have been busy working directly for Derby County Football Club with the Pride Park Stadium wide upgrade of their existing Trend building and energy management system.
Smarter Manged Buildings have upgraded all existing control panels, including an IQ Vision web based graphical user interface.
We are just coming to the completion of the project, where we are making final tweeks and enhancements to complement the stadium operation.
We have created a flexible feature for the facilities management team to manage the system on match days and also to integrate to the hospitality area systems, to help DCFC to enhance the hospitality customer experience.
Fantastic project management and delivery by Darren Willis and Max Potter.

Thankfully, the majority of us will never have the experience of waking up on Christmas morning without a single present to open, or the feeling of sheer desperation as a parent when our child asks for a particular gift, only to know that there is no money available.
Unfortunately even in today’s society it is so sad to think that there are those living so close to the poverty line that just putting food on the table on Christmas Day and heat in radiators is all that is achievable.
The Salvation Army do an amazing job each year in raising awareness of this need and run a National Christmas Present Appeal.
My local Salvation Army (for which I am a member) have been involved with this present appeal for some time now and have provided thousands of presents to children over the years.
This year they have been inundated with referrals but were particularly short on gifts for boys in the 13+ age category.
Smarter Managed Buildings were pleased to have been able to provide 25 Mitre footballs to help The Salvation Army present appeal this year.
Just one small thing we can do to brighten someone’s Christmas.
Christmas @ SMB
A fantastic weekend with quality time for teambuilding and socialising at the Smarter Managed Buildings christmas party 2023.
It has been a busy old year for our growing team and was therefore rewarding to invest in our team and share some quality downtime at the unique Stapleford Park.

Thank you to the team @ SMB, you are awesome.
Merry Christmas!
